The short version: We collect only what we need to run your membership. We never sell your information. Payments are handled by Stripe — we never see your card details.

Information We Collect

UprightAfter ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

When you register for UprightAfter, we may collect:

Name and email address
Account login credentials
Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store your credit card information)
Basic usage information related to your interaction with the platform
Safety Gate readiness responses submitted at 4-week intervals, including self-reported pain status, fall history, and provider instruction flags. This data is used solely to determine program progression eligibility and is stored securely in Supabase. It is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for clinical diagnosis.

Safety Gate Data

At the end of each 4-week program level, UprightAfter collects self-reported readiness data through the Safety Gate assessment. This includes self-reported pain status, fall history, and any provider instructions to reduce activity. This data is used solely to determine program progression eligibility. It is stored securely in Supabase with row-level security enabled. It is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for clinical diagnosis. It is not a clinical evaluation and does not constitute a medical record.

Aggregated & De-Identified Data

We may create aggregated, de-identified data sets from member activity — for example, overall completion rates, confidence-score trends, Safety Gate response patterns, and level progression across our membership. This data is stripped of anything that identifies you personally and reflects patterns across many members, not any individual.

We may use this aggregated, de-identified data to improve the program, to conduct or support research, and to share or license it to third parties such as healthcare researchers and organizations. Because it cannot be traced back to any individual, it is not personal information.

To be clear: we never sell, rent, or license data that personally identifies you, and we never share your account, payment, or individual Safety Gate responses in identifiable form. The commitment in "Sharing of Information" applies to your personal information — not to anonymous, population-level data. When you enroll, you acknowledge that your de-identified activity may be included in these aggregated data sets.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide access to the UprightAfter platform
Process subscription payments
Communicate important account and service information
Send program-related emails such as level completion notifications and weekly reminders
Improve the platform and member experience

Payment Information

Payments are securely processed by Stripe. UprightAfter does not store your full credit card information. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data.

How We Protect Your Information

We use secure hosting, encryption, and industry-standard safeguards to protect your data. Our platform is hosted on Vercel with data stored securely in Supabase, both of which maintain enterprise-level security standards. The member portal uses additional secure infrastructure for accounts and program access.

Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and personal information at any time. To do so, contact us through our support form and we will process your request within 10 business days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
